Unimer builds on success with Housing Assocations & PfH
(14 July 2009) Unimer continues to build on its successful partnership with Proucurement for Housing and its housing association members. At a recent event, Unimer further outlined the supply chain efficiencies gained by collaboration with local Unimer merchants.
Suzanne Millward, Marketing Manager at Unimer, recently spoke at a PfH event aimed at housing organisations in the London area. The event, held at the Royal College of Physicians, near Regent's Park in London, focussed on the success of work with Buy4London, and how PfH and its suppliers can further develop solutions to deliver even greater efficiencies in the future.
"We are delighted that so many delegates, representing housing organisations in London, could take the time to attend, says Suzanne. It is clear to us that the national agreement terms and efficiencies in the materials supply chain we can deliver through our Unimer members is very important to housing associations."
A large number of Unimer members across the UK are now trading through the Unimer & PfH agreement. During her presentation, Suzanne detailed some of the successful business relationships and collaborative procurement processes currently in place, and how Unimer has enabled their members to maintain and build relationships with local public sector landlords.
"It is clear that independent merchant play a key role in the distribution of building materials for local economic development, and our members deliver real social sustainability benefits, whilst offering housing organisations the efficiency benefits that come from PfH's central billing system and Unimer's competitive pricing structure, says Suzanne. We are extremely pleased to be involved with the PfH and all its members".
