Unimer for PfH Members

Unimer and its merchants are proud to be Nominated PfH Suppliers to all PfH Members. For over 3 years, our Unimer merchant members have been supplying materials for responsive repairs and general maintenance to PfH members across the UK. As of the 1st June 2010, Unimer has been awarded a new frame work contract by Procurement for Housing.  This will be in force for 3 years, with an option to extend for a further year.

New Contract - ‘Supply of Materials & Managed Services'

This new contract for the ‘Supply of Materials & Managed Services' replaces the current Unimer & PfH agreement, and enables both specialisation of merchants, and increased scope of products available within the contract for Unimer members  to supply to PfH members.

The new agreement was awarded to Unimer through an EU compliant tender process, where the supplier(s) with the best value offer was awarded the contract. Unimer has been awarded the framework contract to supply:

  • Lot 1 - Plumbing & Heating Products
  • Lot 2 - Building Materials
  • Lot 3 - Electrical Products
  • Lot 4 - Managed Stores Solutions
  • Lot 5 - Aids & Adaptations


Unimer represents over 1,000 merchant members ranging from general, lightside, heavyside, plumbing & heating, timber, ironmongery, decorating, roofing and electrical merchants and many more specialised products, trading from 3,000 locations across the UK, including the isles.

Unimer & PfH Agreement for Unimer Merchants

PfH was developed by the National Housing Federation and Chartered Institute of Housing and now has just over 700 social housing provider Members that collectively manage over 3 million homes throughout the UK. This represents more than 50% of the sector, which spends over £1 billion every year on materials procurement.

Unimer invested a great deal of time and effort in submitting an OJEU compliant tender for this contract because we believe it is an outstanding opportunity for our members. Being a Unimer member, you are automatically a Nominated PfH Supplier, enabling you to trade with any PfH member of the Unimer & PfH Framework Agreement.
